UK or USA? How We Help Families Choose
The UK asks a student to already know their subject. The US asks a student to explain who they are. Neither is easier — they simply reward different kinds of preparation.
We generally advise students with a clear, singular academic interest and a strong subject-specific record to lean UK via UCAS. Students with broader interests, strong extracurriculars and a compelling personal narrative tend to do better building a US-style application.
Many of our strongest families apply to both — but only once we have mapped out how each essay, deadline and requirement will actually be met without one system cannibalising the other.
